A grand ceremony on the eve of Launching of Ahmedabad Chapter of JITO took place on Sunday, the 29th June, 2008 at the Golden Glory Hall, Karnavati Club, Sarkhej Gandhinagar Highway, Ahmedabad under the auspice of Param Pujya Nayapadmasagarji Maharaj Saheb.

The participants comprised of Proposed Managing Committee of JITO-Ahmedabad Chapter, Managing Committee, JITO-APEX-Mumbai, a huge number of FCPs, Patrons and Life Members from outside Gujarat and also the members of the Ahmedabad Chapter, as well as the invites and dignitaries etc. from the various cities of India and Gujarat, particularly. The total gathering exceeded 1200 participants.

The Registration Process started exactly at 9.00 AM and the main function started at 10.00 AM. First of all the Mentor of JITO Param Pujay Nayapadma Sagarji Maharaj Saheb and his monks occupied their Asans on a separate podium the on the dais. Than after, the President JITO-APEX, Shri Hemant Shah; Shri Shantilalji Kawar, Spl. Invitee Shri Pushparaj Jain, MP from Rajasthan; the Steering Committee Members of JITO-Ahmedabad and also the proposed office bearers of JITO-Ahmedabad Chapter were invited on the dais.

The function started with the opening address of Mr Sudhirbhai U Mehta, Chairman of the Torrent Pharmaceuticals who is also the Steering Committee, JITO-Ahmedabad's Member. He welcomed the participants from all the quarters of the country and gave a brief account of the JITO's activities. He wishes the successful take off of Ahmedabad Chapter under the leadership of Shri Utkarshbhai Shah with the blessings of PP Maharaj Saheb.

Shri Shantilalji Kawar from Mumbai gave a detailed account of conception of the idea of formation of JITO two years ago and explained in detail the successful launching of JITO-Apex body under the Companies Act, followed by opening and starting of various local chapters across Mumbai and the Country. He also spoke about the various activities proposed to be undertaken under the auspices of JITO and extended his good wishes to the Ahmedabad Chapter.

Immediately after that Param Pujya Nayapadma Sagarji Maharaj Saheb conducted the oath taking process of the Steering Committee Members and also the proposed office bearers of the Ahmedabad Chapter and showered his blessings for the successful commissioning of the activities and spreading the message of JITO loud and wide across the breadth of the Jain Community of Ahmedabad. Pujyashri also recollected the initiation of the activities of Jain Sansthan from the pavan bhoomi of Ahmedabad and its take off in various states across the country. Keeping this in view he announced the decision of the JITO for allowing Ahmedabad Chapter to organize Grand Triple Event in the very first year of its launching. He unhesitatingly mentioned that the team of office bearers of Shri Utkarshbhai will certainly be successful in this also.

Shri Utkarshbhai Shah, after welcoming the guest gathering on this eve, thanked each and every participants in general and gave the account of the past activities under the aegis of Jain Sansthan. He assured the JITO-APEX and the august gathering that the grand triple event functions will be organized very successfully and the main concept of JITO will reach to the farthest Jain across any comer of the universe. He said for his JITO is "not merely an activity for the betterment of the jain business and industrial community" but for him "JITO is a Maha Puja / Maha Abhishek / Mahan Tapascharya" and taking this as a challenge in his personal life he feels proud that he got such an opportunity to be useful to his fellow gyatibandhus. He stated that Shri Shantilalji has took us to have a breathtaking glimpses of JITO's success story. The office bearers of JITO-APEX are very visionary, dynamic and they have shown exemplary approach under the guidance and instructions of Pujyashri Naypadmasagarji Maharaj Saheb. According to him if there was any award for best Management Guru in the Sansyashi Samaj, to his belief there could be no other candidate like Pujyashri. He stated that under such a team, JITO Ahmedabad chapter leave no stone unturned to achieve success not only in organizing the grand triple event, but also hand around each and every member's business growth through economic and knowledge empowerment through various activities like seminars on various burning issues, b to b meets, industrial visits and many more innovative techniques through net working too. Lastly he recollected the first presidential address of Late John Kennedy of USA "ASK NOT WHAT YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU, BUT ASK WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR COUNTRY" and hoped that each and every Jain business community must come forward and join JITO and show their zeal and zest for the betterment and strengthening of the Jain Community in the Society.

Than after various speakers gave an account of the concept of IAS/IPSIIRS training centers across the country, thereby bringing forward the Jains in the administrative areas so that a clean and transparent administration could be brought into once again. The successful candidates from various training centers were honoured by the JITO.

Shri Gautam Adani, a Member of the Steering Committee, JITO-Ahmedabad, welcomed the participants and conveyed his deep sense of gratitude to them. He also went into the multiple reasons for joining JITO and requested the business community to join JITO.

Pujyashri gave an account of Jains contribution in the society and put forth the past and present situation of the contribution in terms of percentage of population of Jains in the political arena and put forth the immense need of coming forward in the political system of the States/country. Upon his request Mr. Pushparaj Jain, Member of Parliament from Rajasthan also why such contribution from Jains is extremely required and also explained how successfully this can be done.

Mr Hemant Shah, President JITO-APEX without going into the details of the JITO and its activities, conveyed his thanks to all the participants for attending the launching ceremony and invited the participants to join the lunch.

Thus the entire launching ceremony was very successfully over and the participants of various quarters expressed their satisfaction over the management of the entire function and hosting the facilities with minutes care and painful efforts of the JITO Ahmedabad Chapter's team and congratulated office bearers.
