01 Jun, 2025 - Bhakti Retreat Jirawalaji
The JITO Ahmedabad Ladies Wing, under the dynamic leadership of Chairperson Smt. Sharmilaben Shah, successfully organized a spiritually uplifting 2 days retreat to Jirawala, which turned out to be a soul-stirring and unforgettable experience for all 23 participating ladies. The highlight of the retreat was the rare opportunity to undertake the revered Panch Tirth Yatra on 1st day — covering Sultan Parshwanath, Mirpur, Jirawala, Pavapuri and Bheru Tarak — all in a single day. A unique and memorable part of this retreat was our opportunity to engage in Gau Seva by feeding cattle with cattle feed, an act that reinforced our commitment to compassion and non-violence. We were also blessed to perform Aarti at Pavapuri, a divine moment that brought peace and spiritual fulfilment to every soul present. This remarkable feat allowed each participant to immerse herself in deep devotion and reflection, reconnecting with our Jain heritage and values.
The following day continued the spiritual journey with a serene Snatra Pooja at Jirawala, followed by darshan at Varman Tirth and Vijay Pataka Tirth. We are very much thankful to the JATF Chairman Shri Inder Jain for hosting splendid lunch for us at Vijay Pataka Tirth.
The arrangements made by the organizing team were thoughtful and flawless. From the comfort of our bus seating to the timely and wholesome meals, every detail reflected the committee’s dedication and hospitality. The food served throughout the retreat was healthy, organic and nourishing — a true reflection of mindful living. Adding to the joy of the journey were the lush green landscapes, cool breeze and the occasional drizzle that brought smiles and a sense of bliss to all. Nature itself seemed to be blessing our retreat.
What truly made the experience magical was the bonding among the 30 participants — women from different age groups and walks of life who came together like one big family. Age truly became just a number, as laughter, stories and shared devotion tied us all together. The camaraderie, spiritual energy and thoughtful organization made this retreat a perfect blend of faith, friendship and rejuvenation.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Chairperson Sharmilaben Shah and the entire JITO Ahmedabad Ladies Wing Committee for making this beautiful journey possible. Their meticulous planning, warmth and spiritual foresight created not just an event, but a treasure trove of lifelong memories. This retreat served as a much-needed pause from daily life and offered an enriching space for reflection, devotion and genuine connection. We look forward to more such transformative experiences in the future.
