Millets are small seeded grasses that are rich in fibre, oxidants, vitamins and minerals like iron , magnesium , zinc and vitamin B . Since they are a good source of protein and low in calories, they are a great choice to lose and maintain weight. They are actually complex carbs and therefore they supply sustained energy throughout the day.
They are also gluten free so excellent for people with gluten allergies too. They are recommended for heart patients too as they are rich in magnesium.
Millets are prescribed by doctors for patients with weak digestion and IBS too as they help regulate bowel movements.
We all can see how beneficial they are in this era where genetically grown wheat is everywhere and hinders with the working of our system. So, let’s all start by replacing our diets partially with millet and then finally learn to increase its intake more and more
