Ahimsa run was organised by JITO PAN INDIA. Ahimsa run was held on 2nd April at 5.30 a.m.by JITO Ladies Wing at Riverfront in Ahmedabad. 4200 people participated in this run in Ahmedabad chapter.The dignitaries present were Ganpatraj ji Chowdhary, Himanshubhai Shah, Hemantbhai Shah, Kushalji Bhansali, Amitji Jain, Jigishbhai Shah, Niravbhai Shah, Chetanbhai Shah, Sanjeev ji Chajjer, Asitbhai Shah, Ashokbhai Bhansali and Rajeev ji Chajjer.This run created history by creating a Guiness World record for the highest no of pledges taken in a week. There were 3 categories in the run -3, 5and 10 km run. The run started with warm up activities of Zumba and dancing to build up every one’s tempo and enthusiasm.Objective -The objective of this run was to create awareness for a better world by spreading the core message of nonviolence and peace which is the basis and crux of Jainism.Takeaway- To make a change one has to start from oneself and that’s what this run did by setting an example of unity, love, peace, harmony and respect for everyone by making a change for the better.
