15 May, 2026 - Eye Check up
The Eye Check-up Camp organized by JITO Ahmedabad Ladies Wing under the Shraman Arogyam initiative was successfully conducted on Friday, 17th April 2026, across multiple locations in Paldi, Ahmedabad, including Vitraag Jain Sangh Aaradhna Bhavan, Prasham Sadhana Bhavan, Padmavati Society and Deepkunj Society.
This noble initiative was dedicated to the well-being of Sadhviji Maharasaheb, with the objective of ensuring clear and healthy vision to support their spiritual studies and daily practices. With the generous support of FCP member Smt. Beena Shah, an eye check-up bus was arranged through HCF Hospital – Health & Care Foundation, enabling smooth and efficient screenings. Spectacles were kindly sponsored by Chashmish Eyewear (Jhalak & Kavit Shah), adding immense value to the camp.
Building on this effort, a second phase of the eye check-up camp was successfully conducted on 29th April 2026 at Kalapurna Suri Shramani Vihar, Vasupujya Swami Gruh Mandir and Kutch Wagad Upashray, where 35 Sadhviji Maharasaheb underwent eye check-ups.
Further strengthening this initiative, a tie-up has also been established with Rajasthan Hospital for advanced treatments such as cataract operations and glaucoma surgeries, ensuring continued and comprehensive eye care support.
The success of both camps was made possible through the dedicated efforts and seamless coordination of the organizing team. Special appreciation to Convener Parita Shah, Shraman Arogyam mentor Dhruma Shah, Jully Shah, Ekta Jain, Hemal Shah, Ami Hapani, Falguni Jain, Maitry Shah and Hardee Shah for their committed seva.
The initiative stands as a true reflection of compassion, community service, and the spirit of Vaiyavach, leaving a lasting impact and inspiration for future endeavours. Heartfelt congratulations to Chairperson Anuja Shah for her strong and inspiring leadership, motivating the team to successfully execute such meaningful initiatives.
A total of 200 Sadhvijis benefitted from the eye examinations and distributed 150 spectacles (near sightedness, far sightedness n progressive spectacles), marking a significant and fulfilling milestone for the team.
