Jito Ahmedabad in association with Adinath Foundation, Satellite, Shree Parshwanath Digambar Jain Mandir, Sola and Sakal Jain Samaj, Ahmedabad, participated in the celebration of Lord Mahavir’s 2550th birth anniversary. Held at Shakamba Party Plot in Ahmedabad, the event titled “Ek shaam Jinvar ke naam: Bhavya Kavi Sammelan” brought together members of the Jain community in a spirit of reverence and festivity. The evening began with adoration of Shri Tirthankar Balak Mahavir, followed by a vibrant procession, symbolic of the grandeur of Lord Mahavir. Attendees were treated to the celestial resonance of Aakashvani, and the joyous tradition of cradle swinging marked the auspiciousness of the occasion. The atmosphere was further enriched by the chanting of mantras dedicated to Lord Mahavir and a commemoration of Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Maharaj. The event culminated with a majestic Maha Aarti, featuring 1008 diyas, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness. With over 500 attendees from all four sects of Jains the celebration served as a unifying platform, inspiring all present to embody the timeless teachings of Lord Mahavir.The event was attended by Chief Guests Smt. Pratibha Jain (Mayor, Ahmedabad City), Shri Kaushik Bhai Jain (MLA, Dariyapur Vidhansabha) and Shri Gautam Bhai Shah (Former Mayor, Ahmedabad City).
