On March 21, 2024, the Holi celebration took place at Hyatt Ahmedabad, Vastrapur. “Rang Barse” transcended beyond mere festivity; it served as a platform for showcasing the diverse talents of our JLW members.Four members were given the opportunity to exhibit and sell their products, providing budding women entrepreneurs with visibility among the 225-plus attendees. Shopping, fun activities, and delectable delicacies enriched the experience for all.Every attendee received a warm welcome with Dhol nagara, shagun adorned with a vermilion red dot, and artificial flower bracelets. The customary “Holi ka muh mitha” featured natural, healthy sweets.A group of seven members recited the Navkar Mantra and Stuti. Additionally, a special instructor, accompanied by two assistants, imparted traditional Rajasthani Ghoomar dance steps to the attendees.This event was a resounding success, marked by several key takeaways:1.Providing stalls for the four members bolstered their businesses by expanding their customer base.2.Members took charge of event decorations, showcasing their creative prowess.3.Participating in recitations and stage appearances empowered members to overcome stage fright.4.Members were encouraged to assume roles as convenors and co-convenors, fostering confidence and leadership skills.5.Above all, the event fostered camaraderie among members, facilitating interactions and strengthening bonds.6.The afternoon was a delightful blend of celebration, entrepreneurship, skill development, and community building.
