Vishwa Navkar Maha Mantra Divas was celebrated worldwide on 9th April 2025 with immense devotion and grandeur under the divine guidance of Jain saints and the visionary leadership of JITO Apex Chairman Shri Priithviraj Kothari and Apex Vice Chairman Shri Himanshu Shah. The event aimed to foster peace, unity and spiritual awakening through the collective chanting of the sacred Navkar Mantra.

The event in Ahmedabad was successfully organized under the leadership of JITO Ahmedabad Chairman Shri Rushabh Patel, known for his detail-oriented management, Sr. Vice Chairman Shri Rajeev Chhajer, Vice Chairmen Shri Charul Vakta, Shri Vaibhav Shah, Shri Piyush Jain, Chief Secretary Shri Manish Shah, Treasurer Shri Shital Shah and convened by Immediate Past Chairman Shri Asit Shah and Shri Bhadresh Shah. Preparatory meetings with leaders of all Jain sects ensured maximum participation and unity within the community as mentioned below:

Face to face meetings with more than 4000 people took place at various places for the upcoming Navkar Mahamantra Divas event. A key meeting took place at Dinesh Hall in the presence of Home Minister Shri Harsh Sanghvi, MLA Shri Amit Shah, MLA Shri Kaushik Jain and Mayor Smt. Pratibha Jain who urged attendees to join the Vishwa Navkar Mahamantra Divas Program, showcasing Jain unity. Over 800 Jain Shreshtis and JITO members attended, reflecting strong community commitment.

• A total of 30,000 personalized invitations, featuring Navkar Mantra tabletops, were meticulously prepared and dispatched to JITO members as well as prominent Jain leaders. Furthermore, 65,000 passes and stickers were distributed to various sanghs to ensure an organized and efficient seating arrangement for the audience at the event venue.
• Four hundred holy kalash, meticulously consecrated by Jain monks through the Vaskshep ritual, were distributed to the Sanghs representing all four Jain sects one month prior to the event. These venerated vessels became focal points of devotion, revered through mass chanting by devotees across communities. On 9th April, the kalash were ceremoniously displayed at the venue as a unifying spiritual centerpiece. During the proceedings, attendees chanted the Navkar Mantra in unison using specially distributed Navkarwali (mala). Following the event, the sanctified kalash were ritually returned to Sangh leaders, preserving their sacred significance for ongoing spiritual practices.
• Extensive digital and physical promotion campaigns were conducted for a month across Ahmedabad, including social media, newspapers, 2 grand kalash tableaus, hoardings and banners at 400+ Jain derasars, schools, 20 clubs, Malls, 47 Cinema screens
• Media coverage amplified the event far and wide.

A dedicated team of over 300 volunteers from JITO Ahmedabad, Ladies Wing, Youth Wing and JBN leaders ensured seamless coordination. The event witnessed a record-breaking participation of over 25,000 devotees at Ahmedabad’s GMDC Ground chanting Navkar Mahamantra, the essence of faith, representing right knowledge, philosophy, conduct and the path to salvation for all.
Specialized committees managed VIP arrangements, food, prabhavna, parking, transport, medical and emergency services, security, kalash, press & media, decoration and kitchen. All required legal permissions were secured in advance. Security arrangements included fire fighters, cyber security and volunteers.

The dignitaries were honored with stoles and mementos by JITO Ahmedabad leaders.
Jito Ahmedabad Chairman Shri Rushabh Patel addressed the gathering, expressing gratitude and seeking blessings from all the revered Sadhu and Sadhviji Bhagwants. Past Apex Chairman Shri Ganpatraj Chowdhary then took the stage, acknowledging the overwhelming participation of the attendees and highlighting key initiatives such as JEAP (Jain Education Assistance Program) for education loans and JATF (Jain Aspirants Transformation Foundation) for civil services aspirants.

The event culminated in the collective chanting of the Navkar Mantra by thousands, followed by distribution of Navkarwali, Rakshapotli and prabhavna (sacred offerings). Boiled water for devotees doing Ayambil Oli and Sadhu bhagwants and snacks for all.
The Department of Posts released a special philatelic cover commemorating 2800th Nirvana Kalyanak of Lord Parshvanath on “Vishwa Navkar Mahamantra Day”. The first copy was presented to CM Bhupendra Patel.
Chief Secretary Shri Manish Shah expressed gratitude to all participants, dignitaries, volunteers, sponsors and agencies. JITO Ahmedabad recorded the highest global participation of over 25,000 devotees, setting a new benchmark for spiritual gatherings and reinforcing Jainism’s message of peace, non-violence and harmony. The declaration of Navkar Day ensures these sacred values will be preserved for future generations.
The Vishwa Navkar Maha Mantra Divas 2025 in Ahmedabad was a historic and meticulously organized event that united the Jain community and others in a global chant for peace and spiritual harmony. The presence of key dignitaries from Gujarat underscored the event’s importance.
The event’s scale, spiritual depth and community participation set a new standard for religious and cultural gatherings.
