09 Apr, 2026 - Vishwa Navkar Mahamantra Divas
The Vishwa Navkar Mahamantra was successfully observed on 9th April 2026 at the GMDC Auditorium, Ahmedabad. This global initiative by JITO Apex was executed worldwide with participation from JITO members, as well as Jain and non-Jain communities, reflecting a spirit of unity and inclusiveness.
The event was convened by Asit Shah, with co-conveners Bhadresh Shah and Piyush Jain, under the leadership of Jito Ahmedabad Chapter Chairman Rajeev Chhajer, Sr. Vice Chairman Vaibhav Shah along with Chief Secretary Jainik Vakil and their dedicated team. Extensive pre-event coordination meetings were conducted with leaders of Digambar, Shwetambar and Terapanth Jain communities, ensuring widespread outreach and participation beyond the chapter level.
The event was graced by distinguished invitees including Sripalbhai Shah (Anandji Kalyanji Pedhi), Kalpeshbhai Shah, Apex Advisory Member Ganpatraj Chowdhary, Shraman Arogyam Chairman Malay Shah and Zone Chairman Sanjeev Chhajer and team.
The dignitaries emphasized the profound significance of chanting the Navkar Mahamantra, especially in today’s global environment marked by unrest and uncertainty. The mantra, which reveres Arihants, Siddhas, Acharyas, Upadhyays and Sadhus was highlighted as a universal prayer promoting peace, spiritual growth and the path to moksha.
Ganpatraj Chowdhary also shed light on impactful initiatives such as JEAP and JATF, encouraging greater awareness and participation among the Jain community.
The mass chanting session was conducted in synchronization with the Delhi Chapter, where Hon’ble Home Minister Amit Shah joined the event virtually. Participation was witnessed across sanghs, mandirs, upashrayas, schools and workplaces, creating a collective atmosphere of devotion, compassion and inner peace.
In his address, Amit Shah expressed his gratitude for being part of the spiritual gathering and conveyed his willingness to engage in such initiatives in the future.
The event concluded with the distribution of prabhavna by the JITO Ahmedabad Chapter, leaving attendees with a deep sense of harmony and spiritual fulfilment.
