On 14th May 2024, the JITO Ladies Wing chapters from Coimbatore, Bikaner, and Ahmedabad organized a virtual Health & Wellness Program under JITO Connect. The session featured Namita Ruthnaswamy, a Health Coach and Agricultural Scientist with over two decades of experience. She educated participants on the importance of understanding the Glycemic Index of foods, maintaining balanced meals, and the significance of post-meal activity, such as avoiding sitting immediately after eating and aiming for a daily goal of 10,000 steps. Namita also provided insights on how dietary changes can help in reversing diabetes. The interactive workshop emphasized that lifestyle diseases are preventable and not hereditary, leaving participants with valuable knowledge on making healthier choices and incorporating beneficial habits into their daily routines. The event saw enthusiastic participation, with 22 attendees from the Ahmedabad chapter, contributing to the overall attendance of 40.
