Prabhu Mahavir Janam Kalyanak Rath Yatra is organized by Samast Sabarmati Jain Samaj and Jito Ahmedabad.

On Tuesday, April 4th, the 2621st Janma Kalyanak of the 24th Jain Tirthankara, Prabhu Mahavir Swami, shall be celebrated . The event is held under the auspices of Sadhu-Sadhviji Bhagwant, the entire Sabarmati Jain Samaj, and JITO Ahmedabad Chapter.

In the evening, Mahapuja and a huge mass aarti are organized in the Derasar. On this occasion, 2621 Jains shall be treated of cataract by Sabarmati Sangh.

Every year since 2011, Rath Yatra is being organized on Prabhu Mahavir Janm Kalyanak Day to propagate the teachings of Prabhu Mahavir such as non-violence, non-attachment or non-greed and anekantism.

In addition to that, Dr. Paras Shah shall present the timeless wisdom of Jain philosophy in the context of the modern world, focusing on “Seven Shikshas” given by Prabhu Mahavir, which are relevant for running organizations and succeeding in the business world. The session is held at Mahavir Jain Vidyalay at 4:30 pm and is jointly organized by Mahavir Jain Vidyalay and JITO Ahmedabad.
